Common faults with the PS4

Yellow Light Of Death Controller

This can usually be fixed by holding down the share button and PS button simultaneously. This should reset network settings for the controller. You may need to connect it to USB after it’s reset to connect it to the PlayStation 4. If this does not work get in touch as your controller is most likely damaged.

Loud Fans

If the thermal paste that’s used to cool your logic boards APU becomes dry it stops working. As a result the fans will have to work incredibly hard to cool it down. Although there are a lot of videos online of how to fix this yourself, without an ESD mat and the exact tools needed you are at high risk of breaking fine parts in process.

Stuck in Safe Mode

Caused by a host of strange reasons but normally a serious problem if your PS4 has been unplugged or turned off badly. This causes corrupt data and needs a software rebuild or a factory reset to fix the issue.
