Common faults with the PS5

Loud PS5 Fans

If the thermal paste that’s used to cool your logic boards APU becomes dry it stops working and as a result the fans will have to work incredibly hard to cool it down and will be very loud. Although there are a lot of videos online of how to fix this yourself, without an ESD mat and the exact tools needed you are at high risk of breaking a lot of fine parts in process.

PS5 Overheating

An extension of the PS5 loud fans problem, if the thermal paste on your APU dries out, it may cause your PS5 to do nothing but overheat. Don’t worry, it’s a simple fix when you have the right kit!

PS5 Stuck in Safe Mode

Ps5 stuck in safe mode is usually caused by a host of strange reasons but normally a serious problem if your PS5 has been unplugged or turned off badly. This causes corrupt data and needs a software rebuild or a factory reset to fix.
